Engagement

How quickly can the first pack be produced?

A reporting build is scoped at six to eight weeks, including mapping, signed definitions and a parallel run. The first live pack is the last output of that build, not a document produced in week one. A three-week diagnostic review produces a gap list and a proposed calendar. It does not produce a board pack. Timing moves if data access is delayed or if the metric register remains unsigned.

Do you replace our accountant?

We do not. Bookkeeping, statutory accounts and tax filing stay with your existing accountant. Beautyandhealthco reads ledger exports and operational files, reconciles them, and publishes a management pack. We document the mapping so your accountant can see where a board figure originated. If a ledger posting is wrong, we raise it as an exception. We do not post the correction ourselves.

How are fees structured?

Every engagement is a written statement of work with a fixed scope and a fixed fee in Singapore dollars. Indicative bands are published on the capabilities page. Work outside the signed scope is quoted before it starts. Fees do not vary with operating results and are not linked to bonuses. Retainers are monthly, cancellable on the notice written in the statement of work.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. A mutual non-disclosure agreement can be signed before a briefing if you send your form, or we can use ours. During an engagement, access is listed in the statement of work. We prefer to work inside client-owned systems rather than taking files onto this website host. Copies we hold are deleted on project close as described in the privacy notice.

Data and systems

What data access do you need?

Read access to the accounting ledger export, bank files, and the operational systems that feed revenue and cost. Typical extras are payroll summaries, billing extracts, inventory files and channel reports. Access is named in the statement of work with owners and refresh times. We do not need admin rights. Write access is out of scope unless a later change request says otherwise.

Do you work with our existing dashboard tool?

Yes. If a BI tool is already licensed, we publish views that match the pack rather than introducing a second screen. If the close still lives in spreadsheets, we keep the model in a controlled workbook until a warehouse extract is stable. Tool choice is recorded in the statement of work. We document the mapping either way so a later reviewer can rete a figure.

How do you handle multi-entity consolidation?

Each entity is mapped and closed on the same calendar. Consolidation uses a signed chart and a documented treatment of intercompany balances. Minority interests, different year-ends and foreign-currency entities are scoped explicitly because they extend duration. We will not silently average rates or drop an entity from the pack. If an entity’s ledger is not ready, the group pack carries an exception rather than a guessed line.

What if our ledger is behind?

The pack can still be designed, but freeze and issue dates will follow the ledger, not the other way around. We can run a diagnostic on the current files and write a calendar that names the lag. We will not invent postings to make T+4 look achievable. Catch-up bookkeeping remains with your accountant. Once the ledger is current, the parallel run starts.

How is data stored and deleted?

We work in client-owned systems where possible. Working copies used during a build are held on a need-to-know basis for the engagement and deleted on project close, with a written confirmation on request. Enquiry data from this website is kept for 12 months. The privacy notice states the processors we use for hosting, fonts and maps. Access, correction and deletion requests go to hello@beautyandhealthco.pro.

Reporting and review

What happens if definitions change mid-engagement?

A definition change is a controlled edit. The register is updated, the change log records the date and the reason, and the next pack names the first version that uses the new rule. Prior packs are not silently rewritten. If the change expands scope (a new grain, a new system), we quote before rebuilding. Build pauses if a material definition is reopened and unsigned.

Can you work with a part-time finance manager?

Yes, provided one decision-maker can sign definitions and cut-off rules, and provided response times are written into the work plan. Weekly availability of a few hours is enough for a retainer once the pack is live. During a build we need faster turnaround on the metric register. If sign-off stalls, the calendar pauses. We do not guess a definition to keep the date.

What does a retainer month actually include?

Intake of the named source files, freeze on T+2, reconciliation against the checklist, issue of the pack on T+4, a dashboard refresh after sign-off, one weekly cash-view update on the stated day, and a review call. Extra analysis, new pages and mid-month restatements are outside the retainer unless the statement of work lists them. Assumptions are reopened quarterly as a scheduled activity.
